Welcome

My work is based on photographs from my life and has an ambition to get a grip, a grasp of how to communicate ideas on social values and norms.

My visual language originates from documentary photography. Nan Goldin, Mary Ellen Mark, Diane Arbus, Antoine D´Agata, Anders Petersen are photographers that have had, and still have, a great impact on me.
I want the viewer to find out for themselvs, to decode and think and feel in their own way. A bit like Roland Barthes theories on the punktum, I believe photography has a great potential to make people remember things they have forgotten.

Generally, I’m revolving around human relations and gender politics. I’m interested in the ”meeting” between individuals and the mirroring and reflection of the ”other”. Therefor has my recent work been more focused on genderstudies and reading has become a part of my pratice is a more severe way. Topics like " female masulinity " and "Penis envy" has been on the map.

Some of my photographic based work is a way for me to prove the existence of others and myself. I see myself as a witness to situations that I have to retell. I can see a great importance in that role, a role that I need to practice.
